I have an Automatic throttle body on my 5sp....It does work very well it gives me better throttle response. The manual throttle body is 49mm as to the auto being 52mm in size. I have no problems with it.
The TB's from atx DOHC's and SOHC's are the same, although the TPS is different. Just a matter of swapping sensors as needed.
Decent upgrade. I will be putting the mtx TB spring and cam onto the atx TB because it's just too jumpy. I don't mind so much on the street, but jerking/bouncing around cones at 50 mph in 2nd gear bites... Like mentioned, more than 52mm without forced induction is really a waste. 52mm flows plenty to support even a nicely built 170+ whp n/a car.
Best of luck!
