Default SRT-4 engine swap...what's exactly involved???

I'm planning on having a SRT-4 engine in my 98 R/T by this time next year. I want to know exactly what's involved ahead of time so I know everything. I know that the engine mounts are the same I want to know what else is involved, or if someone can give me a website that has EVERYTHING lol. I also would like to know links to where I can find one with everything that's needed. I found some awhile ago but for some reason I can't find it again. Thanks everyone.

well, to start.. the srt4 engine uses a different crank trigger than our 1g's (and 2000-2002s as well) do, so you cant run the srt4 on the 1g ecu.. so, youll also need the wiring and ecu(s) for the srt4, unless you just go with a standalone..
the 2.4 engine-side mount is different than our 1g mount.. so youll need to get a different mount for that...
you may need to get a 2g starter, since im not real sure if the 1g starter will fit properly behind the srt4 intake manifold.

dont forget youll also then need to upgrade the fuel pump, as the stock 1g fuel pump simply wont be able to feed the engine with enough fuel.

I knew I would have to change the ECU. I bought an after market one from mopar l a little less then a year ago, but I still don't think it would work. The only interesting thing is the fuel pump. We never thought of that thanks.

you are better off running 96/99 stratus 2.4 and getting a turbo kit it is a easier to fit in a 1st gen

aftermarket ecu? are you referring to the 2.0 neon mopar ecu, or one specifically for the srt4? because youll need one for the srt4.
