Stock stereo ?'s
I've got a '95 Noen that came with a new Panasonic head unit (200w), but still had the stock speakers in it. The rears sounded like they were gone, so I picked up some new Scosche's for front and back. Got them all wired in and everything back together, only to find that I have nearly no bass, even with the bass all the way up, and the treble down, it's nearly all treble. I put these same speakers in my old '96 Ram with a cheapie cd player and it sounded great. Then the other day I discovered that I have (or had) the 6 speaker stock system. So I'm wondering if there is a stock amp somewhere that I need to bypass? If so, where is it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'd be guessing its your headunit... i have a 4year old kenwood deck(300 bucks when new) with just the Scosche wiring harness and the only speakers that have been replaced are the rears which were replaced by a previous owner with pioneer 6x9s.... otherwise all stock and it actually has pretty decent bass for a system without a sub of some sort

Could be the speakers. I know when I put in my Alpine head unit and my back speakers blew I bought some Kenwood's (they were on sale) and frankly for 1, I don't have any bass, and 2 when the song has a bunch of bass in it it sounds horrible! so it could also be the cheap speakers. on my DD Neon I have Schoche (sp) front speakers and they are the most crappiest speakers I have ever bought.
