Ok I'm new here so please don't give me to much hell.

I just bought a 1996 Neon with the 2.0L 16V SOHC engine. My plans for the car is to make it a circle track car the rules at my local track has a max of 155 CI so i think the 2.4L engine is what i will use what i need to know is will the 2.4L engine swap into the neon and if so what years do i need to look for? If I cant find a good Engine is the original Engine any good to rebuild? I forgot to say that I am only allowed to run one cam. does the 2.4L have a single cam setup or would i have to change the head? any help is appreciated.
