Default Need help reading a "bad" cluster guage.

I just bought a "new' cluster. Ebay. This one has a tach, mine did not.

On the old cluster, everything worked perfectly - all the time. Guages, speedo, temp. guage, fuel guage, warning lights, etc. No issues. I even put this one back in after having an issue with my "new" one, and all the guages immediately responded correctly.

On the new cluster, everything worked fine except for the temp. guage which does not work - at all. Now I know this could be a bad solder joint reflow problem, and I am already in process of "fixing" that issue just to be sure. After I reflow the main connectors, I am going to use my old temp guage pot in place of the new one and see if I get the same problem again.

I would like to check the "bad" temp guage potentiometer from the"new" cluster using my multimeter to check for continuity and/or resistance, etc. What are the correct resistance/continuity readings for a good one and which of the 4 posts that connect to the circuit board do I get the readings from?

FYI, I went to Harbor Freight and paid ~ $3.50 for Item # 93316 - 6 pc. Mini Star Bit Set (could not find on website but it was in the store). It has the following sizes T-5, T5.5, T6, T7, T8, and T9. Now I can remove not only my actual mileage odometer from my old cluster, but can also remove the guage pots too. I included this bit o info because some have asked how you can remove the old odometer, and to do so, you need something smaller then a T-10 (I think T9 or T8) bit where most sets start at.
