Default How to replace upper passenger dog bone

Im not much of a mechanic and would like some help replacing the upper passenger dog bone on my 2005 neon 2.0. Im hoping I have the correct tools before I get started. Thanks for the help.

Hey Ryan11,

Welcome to the Dodge Neon forum, but your car is a 2nd generation, not a 1st gen and your post really should be on that one. I imagine that if you don't want to wait for the forum admin to move it for you, you can just create one there, and you'll likely get a more helpful and quicker response there.

Support the engine with a jack. Remove the bolts securing the mount (17mm or 18mm). Remove mount, and install replacement. Pretty straight forward.

There are no stupid questions.



On the passenger side it is quite visible and accessible. It is held in place by two bolts. Remove them and remove the mount.

OH the motor mount. never heard it called a dog bone lol.

Is that your engine bay Ghost?
