Default SOHC cam? 2nd gen r/t cam or #10?

Wich would be the better buy, for best gains and best value. the cam from a 2nd gen magnum or a crane (afx replace) # 10, or higher. I plan on getting rebuilt p/p head with bigger valves at the same time, iwas thinking the #10 would be a better bet, but would a magnum head and cam make better sense?

Not enough information to suggest for your application. Both cam shafts mentioned, while bettwe than stock, are not very high profile cam shafts. What are you building? What intake manifold are you going to use? Is this for a turbo car? Drag only? Give more and you shall get more.

if you got the 2nd ger rt cam from a 2002 is a good bolt in... or if you got money to spend a crane 14 is a good cam

The magnum head is a nice upgrade over your stock head.

IIRC, Crane does not make cams for the neon any longer, so you may have trouble locating one. Might not, but you never know.
