Default 2.0 DOHC 13g turbo project

[size=2]Hello,
Would anyone have any knowledge or advice about me putting a 13G turbo on my '98 Neon DOHC. I know it isn't the best turbo to use but I am on a budget and can only work with what I have. Thanks

Well 1st you need turbo downpipe, piping, lines, hoses, U also need a turbo header for quick bolting, An intercooler isnt a bad idea to have, you will need a compression ratio of 8:5 and upgraded internal for maximum performance of your turbo, But all in all it will take a lot of changes to your motor before you should even attempt to put a turbo on because stock compression puts heavy strain on your motor because it wasnt built for turbo. And go to the junk yard and get a tsi turbo or gsx/t turbo from eclipse or talon the gen 1s were bigger turbos and the gen2 was the t25s. I found a turbo for 100 dollars for my car outta a tsi but I scrapped that idea for an srt-4 swap. I am just waiting on my quote.

keep in mind of course, for the 1g dsms.. the automatics got the 13g turbo (which is bigger than the t25) while the manual trans got the 14b turbo.

while both are cheap options, i see no reason really to even bother trying to put either of those turbos on the neon, especially with a dohc, since you can find a used srt4 turbo for relatively cheap and it bolts right on.

EDIT: derrf

What about a check valve? you cant push boost into you heater controls, brake booster, things like that, so you need a one way check valve on that stuff so they get vaccum only when your off the throttle.
