even moving the needle wont help though, when I had my trans done on my crown vic my needle was off, it would say 100 when I was only doing 80. I had to change the VSS gear. Not something they make for the Neon that I am aware of.

What size tire did you have and what did you go to?

I think all of the tire sizes in the 1st gen Neon still had the same overall height, so I'm guessing that there is no option as far as a change on that gear. I'm not sure if these cars are anything like my truck, but my trucks tire size is programmed into the computer, and the dealer can reprogram it if I change sizes and make it match what I have. I have a Superchips programmer for it, so I can do it myself though. I'm not sure if the Neon computer is like this.

Nothing to do cept know how much its off by. http://www.neons . org/tire/ (take out the spaces) If you go there then you can see how much your off by. I know at 65mph I'm off by roughly 1mph with my 195/60-R14's

If you have an automatic transmission, there is a gear on the speed sensor in the transmission that is offered in a 20 tooth or 21 tooth version. It gives you alittle adjustment anyway.
