Default just want to make sure

ok, so ive seen on here that you dont need the egr valve on the car for it to still run properly.. right? If so, can I make up peices to completely block the holes that are open where the pipe and the valve would go? just want to make sure before i waste my time burning out pieces for it. thanks

One very annoying problem of doing this is that your check engine light (CEL) will come on and stay on - unless you have a performance PCM that does not even have a check for EGR.

Then in your particular case, may I recommend removing the bulb so that you don't get distracted by it while racing and BTW - tear it up!

ok just got home from the races and it sucked. practice went ok but i could tell that there is still something wrong so i go out for the race and the take off was great and then about 2 laps in and i start slowing up and the car just wont go any faster. Its like it gets to a certain speed and it just falls on its face, and then on lap 9 it started to cut out and pop and bogg down. I 've replaced all the sensors so I think the next thing to do is get another motor. Anybody have a motor or a parts car with a good motor for sale and live close to waynesboro, Pa?
