You need to look at torque rating when upgrading clutches. But honestly, if you don't have a turbo or aren't building up the engine, you don't need a Stage 2 or 3 or higher clutch. The PT clutch is a very nice upgrade over the stock clutch and is plenty sufficient for 99% of the neons on the road.

You can maybe look to upgrade your tires as well.

The PT clutch or "Mopar Performance Clutch" is not crap. I have used them in the past with no problems and know plenty of others who have used them. With clutches, torque rating is what you should care about, not HP rating.

ya so your better off with a stage 3 because they are a stronger clutch and can handle the power and abuse u throw at it my brother in law has a cobalt ss supercharged car and he has alot of work done he is puttin down 450hp to the ground and yes it was dynoed so he has proof and he chewed up stage 1 and stage 2 clutches he has had the stage 3 clutch for about 2 yrs and it still grabs like its a brand new clutch so id recommend a stage 3 if your going to put down alot of power and torque
