WELL I CHANGED THE WATER PUMP AND TIMMING BELT PUT IT ALL TOGETHER AND TRIED STARTING THE ENGINE BUT IT SOUNDED LIKE IT HAD NO COMP. PULLED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ON TDC I COULD SEE DOWN A 8 VALVES SO OFF TO PICK-N-PULL I WENT GOT A HEAD FOR $50 WITH GOOD VAVLES PULLED MY HEAD AND THE INTAKE VALVES AND ROLLED THEM ON THE CONCRET AND THEY LOOKED LIKE A HOT WHEEL WITH BENT WHEELS THE EX. SIDE LOOKED OK BUT SHOULD I STILL CHANGE THEM SINCE I HAVE THE HEAD OUT OR NOT ANY SUG.

Did the timing belt advance on broken teeth or something cuz i dont think the waterpump and the overheating would cause the valves to get bent or warped...

tell me about it, changing them valve springs in the neon heads (both sohc and dohc) is quite a pain. i believe it took me 2-3 hrs last time i did some on a sohc head.. turns out my c-clamp style compressor is slightly bent, making the job a tad harder than it should be.

yeah i was gonna say that generally if the intake valves are bad, the exhaust ones are too.

how did the pistons look? scratched up or just fine?

this is what i had to do the job with
a guy i work with had me bring the head over and we laped the valves and found all the exhaust vavle were bad so we changed them it took 4 hr to do it all 15 min to set the valves so now all i am waiting for is the gaskets and i have a empty shell head
