Default Can you buy new sensor connectors?

Question. Can you buy brand new sensor connectors for a Neon? If so where? I found some at Rockauto.com, but not the ones I want.

I know I can get old ones a a JY, but most of them are busted or cut off. I would buy a whole new harness, but the dealer does not carry 1995 harnesses anymore.

I would make my own if I can get the connectors.

The plastic thingys that connect to the sensors. I have a couple that I would like to replace - the VSS and fuel pump connectors to start with. The plastic tabs that lock them into place are broken.

Awwwww. I haven't seen them in stores. I don't think you can buy universal ones, as they are specific to the application. Try and go to a pick a part and cut and splice some new ones on.

Dude. Did you read the original post at all? I KNOW I can find busted ones at a junk yard (or pick a part, or whatever you want to call a place where cars go to die slow deaths).

The connectors get dry and brittle with age, and one day, the tabs break, and you have two choices - get a new harness that costs megabucks, or hopefully get lucky and find one in a junk yard that isn't busted and limp along to the next time. You can also tape them on and hope they stick, but that causes other problems and is really NOT a solution.

My question was simple and easy - do the connectors exist as new replaceable items that you can purchase and if so where?

Obviously, since no one has responded, the answer is no. Fine. I cannot get a new harness for a 1995 anywhere I can find, so I guess my answer is to keep looking. @#%#^#@%!

Yes I did read your original post, but excuse me if I didn't take the time to re-read it before I posted again. You are NOT my biggest concern, so forgive me if I don't take the time to read through your post again!

Good luck with your search.

Fuel Sending unit connector clip completely broke
VSS connector clip broke

If I knew who made the wiring harnesses for Chrysler, I might even be able to find out who made the connectors themselves too.

what you could do is order what you need from rockauto and order the replacement sensor that fits the plug as well. otherwise I would not worry to much about the plugs falling apart. I have had lots of clips break on me and never once have I had an issue with them failing.
