Default Quick question

Hey guys, i know this is gonna sound dumb, i'm kinda tryin to learn some things about engines, and i recently bought a 1999 dodge neon sport and was wondering if it can handle any psi stock? because a buddy of mine thinks it can handle 5 without completely boring the cylinders and getting new pistons, rings, etc. but im just not sure.

huh, are you sayin your trying to turbo the engine than 5psi is fine. you can actualy run up to 8psi on stock internals. after that you may want to upgrade your fuel injectors fuel pump and pistons and rods. if you turbo use the stock PCM

BEFORE you do anything, get a compression check and leak test. When you turbo it, the extra PSI will make any leak an even bigger leak A LOT sooner.
