No you dont need a wire fuse for it to work it just protects it from surges and such .... id just get a deck that you could do sub control.

Just go to walmart and buy the scosche amp install kit, it'll have the rca cables and your power wire(with fuse in it), remote amp power on wire(power antenna from the back of the deck), and speaker wire, possibly some other stuff in the kit too and instructions to boot oh and before the question gets asked it is possible to hook up more than 1 remote amp power on wires to the power antenna wire from the deck,

i only know cuz i have a 200W pioneer amp fro my 6X9's and another 200W pioneer amp for my 6 1/2 rounds in my doors. now i just wish i hadnt broke that drivers windos 2 years ago cuz when my 6 1/2's pound they are allways shaking the little glass pieces that i couldnt get out with the shop vac

While you certianly don't need a fuse for the amp to work, running unfused wires directly off your battery isn't exactly a good plan. If you don't already got the wiring just grab a kit like the one already mentioned. Also if you didn't already know, it's better to put the kill switch in the turn on lead than the power wire.

what do you mean "man you guys buy cheap ****!"

Pioneer amps and speakers arent too bad for a daily driven family car, and Scosche is either made by pioneer or pioneer is made by Scosche, I know that because on the bottom of my amp box it has Scosche written on it.
