Stratus 2.4l engine
hi everyone!... i wanna know how many mm. or inches can be milled (shaved) in a 2.4 engine, from a stratus, i just want to get a really high compression ratio!....

you need to measure the piston to deck height. then how thick the head gasket is. you can have the block decked so the piston is out of the hole but has .025" min clearance to the head.
you can also mill the head. but be aware that when you mill the head and block, you will need to advance the cams as milling causes the cams to retard timing

Yeah i know all that!... but this engine have a piston that the dome reach the block deck.... the dome has a 0.25" of height, and i just want to know if i can mille that o a lil less to the block, just for make higher compression!...
oh!! that is a lot for the head.... i wanted to keep the head without any shave... that why i asked about the block... a head if you shave it a lot, if the car overheat say goodbye to the head... and about clearence dont worry i know what i have to do.. im just curious, cuz i dont know anything of this block
