Default sohc to dohc

can i put a dohc on my sohc block what is the good and bads of it please help thinking about doing this

or should i just get a doh block and use it with the sohc

The sohc and dohc block are physically the same. The difference is in the pistons. Stock sohc pistons are flat, while stock dohc pistons are domed for a bump in compression.

The stock dohc head flows more air than the sohc, which is the obvious choice in the "bang 4 buck" department. What is your build plan?

i just wanted to know was thinking about more power in a sleeper way

Stock vs stock, the actual HP difference isn't much from the SOHC engine vs the DOHC engine. The DOHC head (engine) has more modding capability though.
