ok so i have a 96 neon and the speedometer went first, then the light behind the temp , then i started it one night and the lights for both blinkers were flashing. Ive noticed that if i hit on the dash really hard in the right place it will make everything work again. Any ideas?

 

mine does the same thing the speedometer will work when I first start mya car during the day then it will just drop when I'm driving shortly after. It works for awhile but then it drops and stays down. Don't know why? Help?

 

resolder the points on the back of the cluster. search for the how-to.

 

agreed. neons have horrible gague cluster problems. (found this out the hard way) its probalby the conection points on the back of the cluster. mine ended up being a spedo gear in the tranny but we wont go there lol....

 

That would be called the VSS gear.

 

are there any other clusters that i could replace it with ?

 

you can replace it with any 1st gen cluster with or without an RPM gauge.
