Default dohc engine questions

I know this has probably been asked before but here we go. I have a 98 DOHC neon and I can get a good deal on stock pistions , connecting rods and cam for a SRT-4 neon can they be installed in the 1st gen neons?

2.4L connecting rods and piston will not work in a 2.0L block.

If you doubt, spend the money and see for yourself.

The rods can be installed IF you get custom made pistons. The best thing to do is research the dimensions of things like rod length, piston compression height.

For the cost of custom pistons, one could source out the connection rod from a 2gn magnum neon. They are made of the same material as the connecting rods used in the srt, and are just as strong.

I found some Honda pistons that might work with the 2.4 rod in a 2.0 block. Same bore, same piston pin diameter but shorter compression height.
