I figured I would get more help here then on the LS2 board I'm on,but my wifes neon has some issues. Its a 98 2 door expresso with the DOHC motor. First off it burns or loses oil like crazy. I checked the spark plugs and #2 and 3 plugs had oil on them so I replaced the valve cover gaskets and put new plugs in it. The oil on the plugs went away but it still loses oil. It also smokes on start up and when taking off from a stop. The second problem is when it rains the floorboard seems to get soaked. I've looked all over for any way it could be leaking but no luck. If anyone has any suggestions it would help out a lot. Thanks

 

possibly spark plug tube seals?

and around the tail lights there is a gap, silicone it and it might stop, probibly bad tail light seals, i know it sounds funny but hey try it, it worked for me and many other members.

 

I would say to get a compression checker so that you can check the compression in each cylinder beacuse it could be the head gasket. So check to see if compression is low or all over the place. Thats what i would say it is...
