Overheating Woes
Hello to all and thanks in advance for the help. I've got 2 problems My daughter's car is a 1999 dodge neon DOHC Problem#1 a leak in the coolant resvior was able to remove the hold down screws but ther is no clearance to remove the coolant tank, Problem#2 what is the correct metric or standard size socket to remove the coolant temp sensor we whent to auto zone we pulled code (PO 118) = coolant temp sensor

As for problem #2, you need a deep well socket to remove the sensor. the deeper the better. I do not remember what is the correct metric size, but I believe it is 18 or 19mm. Everything on the car is metric. No SAE.
PS. check the wires and connector to make sure there are no shorts/cracks, etc before you replace it. You may just have a bad/dirty connection.
