Default 95 cam?

What is the actual benefits of putting a cam from a 95 in a different neon? just to let you know i have a 98 sohc i have a 95 cam and just want to know if it is worth it?

It is dyno proven to add ~3 to ~5 HP.

so its not like a huge upgrade and do u think its really worth it?

To do just the cam swap, probably not. But if you are doing some work where you take the timing belt off or something like that, then yeah its worth it.

I have a 95 head, I'm working on. Doing some light exhaust porting. Smouthing out the step under valv seats and polishing the port.
Cause of budget, I want to reuse the cam, but will that take benefits of the headwork, or should I go for a #Crane 12?

I would go with the Crane #12 since you are doing the headwork. You can get anywhere from $40-$70 for the stock 95 cam.
