FWD with that huge lug nut style bolt. Truth be told, unless you have a good air gun set, the only way I have ever been able to break free the drive axle bolt was to firmly place the wrench/ratchet on the bolt.....and gently stand on it......once i got there....i would just slightly bounce on it until it broke free......now.....this IS dangerous to....cuz you can hurt yourself by falling....I would also recommend you secure the car quite well before doing it. I've done 3 transmission replacements and I did this on all of them. I would STRONGLY suggest that you at least make an attempt to have someone with a good air compressor/air gun try to break the nut free first!!!! If you can't afford it, or just don't know anyone.......well.....you do like i did....

All I will suggest is DONT JUMP ON IT. Just stand on it and slowly kind of bounce on it a little. I weigh 235lbs. It will hold your weight just take your time. It should snap free though after a few bounces. Those things are placed on super tight.

I used a piece of bar stock to lock the wheel studs so the wheel does not turn. Get a 1 1/4 socket I belive and and put a 1/2" ratchet on it and put a long piece of pipe on it to get leverage, it will loosen. Or use a breaker bar, they are like $30 though.

Mine came loose with a 3 foot long breaker bar and some grunting. Car was on the ground to break it lose, just like lug nuts...

Best of luck!
