may also wanna look at the IAC on the throttle body. have had that problem 3 times and it fixed it instantly every time....even though this problem was on my '05 mtx.

Check resistance of the IAC, or remove it from throttle body?

In any case, I'm thinking of removing and cleaning off my TB, I get a nagging suspicion it's dirty beyond all redemption.

My car's an ancient SOB, no warranty for me!

I'm probably gonna have to figure out how to remove it from the car...Haynes and FSM don't appear to have it.

It seems strange that you have such a serious problem and no service engine light. Can you have someone scan the vehicle and post the results? It might give me somewhere to start since there are a multitude of conditions that could cause that problem.

I am looking for the Max and Min on the following after the engine has warmed up and you have driven it around the block.

Intake Manifold Pressure
Engine Coolant Temp
Engine RPM
Intake Air Temperature
Long Term Fuel Trim
O2 Sensor B1-S1
O2 Sensor B1-S2

Also check for misfire counts if your scanner will read it.
Did you not realize that the original post was over a year old. Fuel pump/filter problems won't throw a code anyways.

well i would have to bump this with an IAC reccomendation , bc my car was just in (as das knows) , and my fuel pressure at the rail and at the tank are within 2psi , and my plugs , wires , air filter , egr , and coolant are all go for launch , and i sitll have the stalling problem... completely intermittent , just kinda puts out and shows me an oil light.. either that or its telling me to rub the dash and pray a genie pops out...but im pretty sure its the oil light..sometimes i get a battery light too... i have noticed that when it does this at night , the lights dim , so im going to have my alternator checked , my battery checked , and im going to throw some codes tomorrow (today)...

gl and lemme know if you got it fixed...
