ok guys this is what i got a 97 neon 2.0 sohc 5spd manual bone stock the car starts and idles fine but when u turn on something turn signals headlights etc it coughs and gags untill it dies ive tried starting it removing battery posts car runs fine off the alternator so dont think its that checked all fuses and all wires everything good any help would be greatly appreciated my guages also dont work while running but if u turn the key to on without starting gauges work

 

Obviously you have an electrical wiring issue somewhere. Pull the dash out and inspect the wiring. Also while you have the dash out, pull the gauge cluster and resolder the pins in the back.
