Are you going to install a turbo? Then its a good idea.
If not, you would go for a d90 stock intake, if you aint going over 8000 rpm with a ported magnum with big cam
You loose a lott of torque in the mid range with NA Indy combo.
But It looks cool

Had a 2nd gen indy on my sohc (no 90 degree bend) on my 1st gen that ran low 14's on street tires. I also ran them on N/A dohc and turbo DOHC, along with a 60mm TB and the cars loved it. If you use the magnum manifold you will need an rpm switch to open the intake up (VTEC!!! lol). You may also need a 2nd gen starter because they are clocked a little different for more intake room.
The intake thread on .org, I can see, that the standard plastic picks up more midrange torque with a #14, than the Indy. But the Indy picks up wery well at 5000 and up.
