Default Weird electrical problem

Alright this forum has been great with my ram so I expect you will all be helpful with this neon as well. So my sisters car would not start so I check the obvious first terminals, battery charge and hot wired started and it engaged. So here's where it starts getting weird. Nothing electrical will come on at all nothing, like I said the starter worked when I hot wired it to the battery, when you put the key in the ignition the gauges slowly start to move. When you turn the key all the power for everything goes away. So I replaced the ignition switch on a wild guess but no. Also checked the wiring from battery positive to fuse box and starter, and battery negative to every ground point I could find under the hood including starter ground. Also checked all fuses and swapped starter relay with a known good one, and swapped the cluster out with a known good one. So i'm stumped completely I checked every possibility I could think of, so any ideas guys or gals?

Car is a 1996 Dodge Neon Highline

Will check the ASD relay, would that make all the electronics not work though? EX. Radio, headlights, etc.

My neon and other neons like it suffer wire harness problems, check and see if they're making full contact to their destination. Especially if you replaced something or if she drove it for a long time the wires could've melted or shorted.

I figured it would be in the harness somewhere but any idea where to start?

Very likely^ and if you're good with wiring check all grounds, and connections to see for power, make Sure all connections are secure and tight, and the point things aren't bent or lose the things inside the harness

das2123 - In my first post I noted that I changed the ignition switch on a wild guess and nothing changed, switch is a brand new BWD part.

FallenAngel92J - I checked all ground points under the hood and power to the pdc. Only thing's left to check are power wires going to the pcm and thru the firewall to the ignition and lights etc.

Could a bad PCM cause all electronics to fail? I got a buddy who fixes electronics for a living and said he would look it over if needed. See if a circuit broke or such. I know the TT Stealth I had went thru a few PCM's but those were kinda common on that car.

Thanks again for all the input everyone.

No problem, keep us posted on it. And I wouldn't doubt it, it can only take a little bug to make everything seem bad.
