Come on guys 83 views and no answer? I want to see if its a simple fix before I end up just bringing it to mechanic and letting him deal with it. I've tried all sorts of stuff. I changed egr valve, new plugs , wires and coil, change pcv and pcv hose, looked for vacuum leaks and came up with nothing.

Ok what you think I should do? Is there a way to test the sensor itself to see if it really is bad?

It sounds like the IAC or idle air control might be gunked up.

I borrowed my friends scanner and it shows that HTR, EGR, CAT, AND O2 I/M MONITOR STATUS is flashing. I replaced EGR, CAT been replaced 2 years ago, no clue what HTR is and im guessing the problem could be the O2 sensor.

The question now is that if its the upstream or downstream one. Is there anyway to check if the sensor is bad?
