If there is no compression (cranking fast) timing may have jumped. It'll do about the same if CPS dies or wire shorts.

All depends on miles. At around 150,000 timing belt componets, CPS and the wiring going to the CPS are known to go. How many miles on the car?

Check to see if there is spark. If there is no spark check to see if power is going to the ignition coil.
If no power is going to ignition coil it's the CPS or the wires running to it. and you are getting air/fuel/spark it may be timing.

Very hard to diagnose no start condition if can't hear/see the car or know how many miles on said car. Differnt parts fail at different times depending on age.

If it's an interferance engine and the timing jumped the valves jumped. Some 2.4's are not so if the timing jumped you just need a new belt/tensioner.

Had Bosch Platnum +4's in my chevy blazer and the ceramic near the electrode broke off. Not saying yours did.
Looking at plugs can give you a good idea of what the condition of the engine is.

Need to check if there is spark and compression and go from there. Check fuses and relays...

CPS can be checked with OHM meter. You can pull the wire harness out from behind the engine. alternatorm CPS, O2 sensors ect can be disconnected. Lot easier to inspect once it's on top of the engine rather than under.

FSM states the timing belt should be changed ever 60,000 miles along with the tensioner, idler pulley, and water pump. At 150,000 is plain neglect.

Good point. I didn't get my car until it was at 150k. Nothing looked new or as if it was recently replaced so it was replaced while the head was off.
Even a replacement tensioner and such can fail before 60,000 miles. My tensioner failed at just under 30,000 miles

One should also be mindful of who you buy your parts from. Manufacturing locations vary in quality.

Good compression in both outer cylinders. Inner cylinders are at 30 or even as low as 10. I'd say it's a crack in the head that got bigger during the temp change. Like a year ago those cylinders were a little low but not enough to freak me out or anything. Not worth fixing it to me. I don't have a garage or shop or anything either.
