alright thanks for all the tips, i've decided i'm going with the egr block off kit. it seems to be the cheaper better solution to the problem in the long run. and i'll eventually add an aftermarket pcm.

yeah, i'm not really sure if it would pass emissions or not or if they even do emission tests here on 95's. but who knows since NY can be pretty dumb like that, but i'm not really worried about it. since i have some ways around all of that anyways, so its deff not a problem.
Most states only do a sniffer test for '95s. My EGR is completely removed, aftermarket cat, downstream O2 sensor unplugged and dangling, EVAP system competely removed, header, aftermarket intake manifold, and CAI. Passed with no problem here in Albuquerque... On my '99 Ram, all they did was hook up the scanner and verify no codes.
ok well hears your problem i suggest u fix it fast my 95 was doing the same... ignore the coil its not that i bought new coil wires and plugs didnt help its your catalytic converter its plugged up and after a while its gonna heat up your headers red hot and start melting ****... as a matter of fact my car is sitting dead about 3 miles away till i can get it towed out to a friends and gut the converter
DAMN thats ****ty, sorry about the bad luck. but thanks for the tip, i think i'll gut mine too till i can find a res/test pipe. but i think i'll take the egr off as well so i don't have to worry about that either.
Another good reason to upgrade the PCM when or sometime after blocking off the EGR system is that you'll be emissions exempt... And even if you are right now, that might be a problem if you move or sell the car
Oh yeah... I've had Platinum +4s in my car since about July, no problems whatsoever. I checked them last month when I changed my oil and they still look fine... I know some shops recommend platinum plugs for DIS, but I know what Bosch says too... So I'm not gonna recommend it but I'm not going to say it's a bad things... I'd check other things before blaming your plugs. Just because they're plats doesn't mean anything that goes wrong with your ignition system is their fault, the wires and coil pack are considerably more likely.
haha sucks that wasn't the problem, good thing though it'll sound better and have a few more HP. fuel filter is a good next step, also i'd put a couple bottles of water remover in the gas too. just incase you have some water in there.
