2.4 swap?
2.4 swap is swapping in a 2.4L motor from a srt-4 or PT cruiser. All the neons are the same. The only differences are the 95's. All the 96-99 and 00-05 are pretty similar with only minor differences.
Axles, yes. Motor mounts, not exactly... There are a few options, but the passenger side mount would lift up the engine too high as is. Best way is to googes search for a replacement mount specifically designed for the swap.
Best of luck!

As far as I know it is a semi-custom job. It will work without too many problems, but you will need to play with the MM's and axels to make it happen. If I remember right you need to use a PT axel on one side
It's really just a motor mount problem. Seriously, the replacement part you need is cheap, just replaces the mount that's in the timing belt cover.
The PT axle thing is completely different... the poor man's upgraded axles rather than having to spend $1k on driveshaftshop.com axles... The PT axle is used for one side, the V6/turbo Shadow (or other P-Body Mopar) axle on the other. Catch is, the spline count on the 1st gen hubs isn't the same, so 2nd gen hubs have to be used... But that really doesn't have anything to do with a 2.4L swap...

LOL, just read the first response... a typical 2.4L swap is from a Caravan, Breeze, or non-turbo PT Cruiser. The SRT-4 swap (or turbo PT Cruiser) is something more recent and is not the same at all. And all the Neons share the same block (except the SRT-4), even the 95's. There are minor differences on the '95 SOHC, but not enough to worry about...
From the wrecked SRT-4, you're going to need the entire engine, exhaust manifold/turbo (one piece), intake manifold and TB, instrument cluster, PCM, ignition key, ignition switch, intercooler and piping, engine wiring harness, all the other electrical wiring harnesses (yes, all of them), and probably a handful of other items I can't think of off the top of my head. While you're tearing the car apart, you might was well grab the seats and center console... From your car, you're going to need the clutch, tranny, and a big hammer to make room for the turbo at the firewall. You'll have to get a larger fuel pump, the motor mount adapter, and plenty of electrical supplies for cutting and splicing. You'll probably want to go ahead and spring for a service manual for your year Neon and the SRT-4 if for nothing other than the wiring diagrams. All said and done, expect to spend $5k easy on the swap and a couple of weeks to get it done.
