Default so i decided to...

ok, i have a 95 sohc, i was going to get a chill factory turbo kit stage one this febuary, however, i dont want to spend all my tax returns on that, so i have decided to get a msd ignition, larger injectors, and a mopar performance ecu. i do need these things when i turbo it anyway so i figure, why not. i know this will help my engine, but how much? any recomendations on types of msd, i know the walbro 255 fuel pump will be the best fuel pump, and what about injectors? what size should i run for now? it wont be turbo'd until '07, so should i go with a slightly larger injector or go for one that will handle my turbo setup when i get it in '07? also, i am going with 8.5mm wires to help the ignition system fire at its peak capacity. i am looking to spend somewhere in the $1000.oo range, i know that a ecu will set me back bout 300 or so, and a msd will be about 2-400, foe a simple one, i have not looked into the msd or injectors. also, will i have to change my fuel pressure regulator with this stuff? thanks.....dave.

I don't recommend the Chill Factory kit, the Hahn is a much better kit. Also Hahn fills the orders in a much more timely mannor than Chill Factory ever has. We have sold a lot of Chill Factory and Hahn racecraft and the Hahn kit wins hands down.

The best ignition to run is the Crane HI-6. That is what we run on our vehicles, including the 95 SOHC Neon we set the worlds record with it.

You don't need to change the injectors. On a Stage 2 Hahn kit our 95 SOHC Auto was running 12.0's in the quarter. We won the NEon Challenge at the Mopar Nationals using stock 19lb per injectors. The fuel kit that comes with the trubo kit will handle the fuel enrichement. You don't need to change your injectors. Both the better Hahn kit and the Chill Factory use a rising rate of gain fuel pressure regulator.

The Walbro 255 pump is a good idea, the kit will still come with a booster pump to use in conjunction with it.

Don't buy wires on size, buy them on resistance per foot. Crane has the lowest ohms per foot resistance, that I what I use in conjunction with a Screamin Demon coil which has a higher output than the MSD coil.

I have heard the chill factorys are a little slow to ship, but I have also heard it is a much superior kit. what are the pros and cons of each?

what makes it better overall? both are 16g mitsu...maybe the turbo manifold? I dont really understand how they compare to each other when no one has ever used both applications or tested both on the same engine buildups...Have you tested both of them???Each are going to be different on other ppls rides from stock to heavily modified. If you have experience with both then I could see your answer but HAHN has been good to neons and is very trusted overall (experience) but the most known isnt always "the best"...its more dependant upon quality and Longevity of the two even if it comes from another company...Testing the two would bring the reviews to the table for the Smart consumer. See what the companies offer on malfunction of each or replacement, warranties, product testing, dynos, testimonials, and such. It still doesnt mean one is better then the other its just good to read up on it and do your own comparisson. PROS AND CONS list so-to-say .... BTW I am using the HAHN turbo manifold....Very Nice....

BTW ...Gary I need someone from your team or maybe a certain resource for my turbo build up on my car...my first turbo Neon project....I Really dont want to relocate/reroute a bunch of lines if certain things rub or interfere w/ another...like say tapping lines from coolant to the oilpan ....etc. Oh do you know where I can get the OIL-Air Coolers? And a maybe a Vaccum line Diagram...
Basically a HOW TO TC a neon illustrations are a PLUS...Also, Im having a little bit of Difficulty trying to find a match for a downpipe...is it all custom fit or is there actually some made for neons that are available for purchase? I called modern performance and they said they had none....Im like...HUH??

Thank You

They have always been copies of the Hahn kit. Back when the first came out they had a better Fuel Pressure Regulator, but Hahn has switched to a better one now. Hahn ships in a timely manor.
