I've got the same issue on my 2nd gen neon, and I was asking around on it. Some guys were telling me that I needed a sensor and that the change would be difficult. If what they tell me is false, I'm gonna knock some skulls. I could've gone to the junkyard or some such place to pick up an old gauge. I'd like to get a tach installed on my car and I don't want to have a bulky tach sticking out on my dash, for fear of being seen as a ricer and garner unwanted attention.

Its about a 30 minute job. Plug and play.

casper this may sound like a dumb question, but did some of the 95's not come with a tac wire. meaning that you would have to wire it in somehow? iseem to remember reading this in the past on this web site and the gauges will work from 95 - 99 right?

I am pretty sure it will work with the 95, although I am not 100% sure. I know 96-99 is a fact, but the 95 had some odd things with it.

Well I have a 94 AKA 95 so I decided to check into it. Ok so i called 1-800-GO-Mopar to ask if the gauge clusters are interchangeable on a 94 built 95, they couldnt tell me **** because they "only deal with parts" and im like "It is a part you dip****" So then I call the fine folks at Stever Oliver dodge here in Overland Park, and the guys like "Uhh they might be interchangeable, but I dont know" Uhh is there anywhere I can get an damn answer on weather this will work before i tear apart my gauge cluster.

I am not sure. If its worth a $30 80% gonna work 20% not, those are the odds I can give you. I know for a fact it works with my 98.
