high idle
Maybe this is more relevant information
It "seems" (not 100% certain) that when the car is in "high idle" mode it will rev higher and shift later. But when its not high idling it shifts sooner. Im not sure the conversion but 50kmh is where it will shift sometimes, other is 80. (30mph vs ~50mph). Like I said I havent confirmed for sure, but does this help narrow it down a little? Im thinking of pulling the O2's like I said, if no fix then ill replace the IAC.
It also seems to have a little less get up and go when it shifts at 50, when it goes to 80 it just pulls harder all throughout. I put on my intake today (pics later, im at work) from my 2004 sunfire GT that I no longer have. Cut it to fit and it sounds awesome. <3000rpm at WOT sounds like a 5.0.

Triple post
I also noticed that when I turn the car off (battery mode), the pcm makes a high pitched squeeling sound. Then something in the fuse box clicks or something and the sound changes a little, then some time later the thing will click again and the pcm will stop.
Could a bad PCM be causing these problems?

Well I still havent been able to pull the o2's, weather has been ****ty lately. But today it started idling even higher! it must have been 2000rpm, idling. Reeaaally bad going into gear.
What vacuum lines should I look at too? Since that would be easier than pulling o2's I minus well check it out. Where does the one thats connected to the cruise control thing by where teh battery is (or would be in my case
) go to? It just seems to follow the wires under the fender area. I noticed it has a crack on the hose where it connected to the unit and if I were to pull on it while the car is off it starts hissing without even coming off, but when its on there it doesnt leak. Its just a bad hose. What vac's can I check, it seems like a vacuum issue or IAC motor issue than o2's. O2's would throw a code wouldnt they? Or it wouldnt be running right (lean) and have bad power. Power is fine, and sound is good with intake on. Intake didnt seem to have an effect on the idle

Holy hell, called to find out what new O2's are worth, when I pull them I should just put a wire brush to them? Will that actually work, or see any kind of improvement if it is infact the o2's ****ing up? They are 80 bucks and 60 bucks, so 140 for the two. Thats crazy if it may not even fix the problem. Whats a new IAC worth? Can I actually buy them?
And if it is o2's does someone on here hook up members for discounted, or just cheaper prices?

Oh ya i forgot that i had this problem at one time... it was really simple to fix too... HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK FOR YOU! Ok so we were pouring rice into the intake... Because it acts like a glass bead, and breaks down the solid carbon on the top of the pistons and blows out the exhaust. Well After doing this... my car idled high... REALLY high... So we pulled the throttle body off, cleaned it up real fancy. Put her back on... Still the same... So my friend had the bright idea... Trying to push the butterfly CLOSED. Then he choked it out, Wiggled the throttle cables, (pulling them as if you were CLOSING the TB) And VWOLA! The idle died back down to normal and i strolled along on my merry way! We think by pulling the throttle cables too hard they got stuck open a little and we didnt notice. So HOPEFULLY this works! give it a shot... its free!
