i just threw up in my mouth a little.
that is hiddious looking.

why do that to a neon?

probes' had a 3.0 but it was weak...
the first gen probes had the 3.0 and yes it was the same 3.0 that was in a tarus.... the 2nd gen probes had a 2.5 DOHC V6 that i think was about 150hp don't quote me on that... they are a pretty small v6 and with very few mods can be quite quick.... I have seen an all motor probe with stock bottom end run 13.1

Your really better off with building what you have or putting in a 2.4. You are gonna have a lot of custom work to get a V-6 in there.

yea thats for sure a vw vr6 motor might fit but the headers will not. and the motor monts will be different. its just too much

No way, the 2.4L Stratus has been dropped in tons of times. Its all the same mounts, and it will all fit nicer than that Ugly Duckling SRT-4 First Gen! You don't even need a beveld hood, just cut room for a small scoop, no bigger than the scoop on the actual SRT-4. There was this website up awhile ago of a guy that did it, and it was sweet. The Stratus has 164hp, and imagine that in the neon which weighs 1,000lbs less! I say you google it, and try to find that guys website with the conversion, he's got a list of stuff and step by step to swap
