neongoodies.com has a solid bobble that has adjustment for preload, and if your car does not have a bracket on the k member he also sells the bracket to weld on...

ORIGINAL: casper

Its all swap one to the other. You will need a MTX PCM though because the ATX PCM is tuned a little different and has trans sensor pickups that the MTX does not have.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing myself, going to the junk yard and pulling all the components comp and all
should not be a problem as all the mounting holes ant stuff is already there.
Gonna rebuild the tranny first and change the diff. and go wiht a largerer clutch as im lookin for off line torque.
Arond here they told me 75.00 for everything so hey why not!
I wanna know where you are getting a Trans, pedals, cables, shifter, linkages, and a PCM for $75!!! Your looking at probally more like $250-$300 for everything.
Yea if you can get them for $75 for all. Order me 10. I think 250-300 is still a little low if you can find the oparts.

That post you quoted is over 2 years old now .

Junkyards sometimes have all you fit in a wheelbarrow or carryout days for around $75-$100 .

your talking about a rediculous amount of work

first, if you live in cali, and your car was bought in cali as an automatic, the swap is illegal, all automatic neons sold in cali that were sohc engines, are TLEV vehicles and it is illegal to swap to any other engine or tranny, trust me i dropped $3000 into a race prepped tranny just to not be able to smog it again because of swapping computers

since you have a second gen neon, it will be a little easier then a first gen, but its going to cost in the $4000 range for a sound motor and tranny, and dont even attempt this unless you have someone that can help with the wiring

You will want to look in the 2nd gen neon section. It has been done and they can help you over there.
