top speed
really randome question but me an d abuddy of mine were talking about it and i was wondering ... whats the top speed of a stock 95 neon with a sohc 5 speed manual transmission and whats the top speed of a 95 with tah dohc
Between 115 and 120 on the SOHC, I never went past 115 simply because I have bald tires and I reallly didnt want to become part of the pavement, even though It could probably do what the Gauge sais. As far as the DOHC goes I would assume its about the same really.
want unlimited top end go here and check this out its on my must have list http://www.howellautomotive.com/inde...ROD&ProdID=109

All neons other than the SRT-4 top out at between 120 and 122 because of the speed limiter in the PCM.

Actually a govener is a mechanical limiter. The neon is limited electroniclly, if you disconnect the speed sensor you have unlimited top speed. Obviouslly you are gonna be limited by wind resistance and HP, but the skys the limit.
