1- Why would you use CF for the work? 2- Do you realize how much work thats gonna be? 3- Do you have any experience working with fiberglass at least? That sound like a whole lot of work to save maybe 5lbs. There are plenty of kits out there that you can put on in a day with very minor adjustments.

1-carbon fiber is lighter than fiberglass, more expensive but lighter and stronger, 2-yes i realize how much work a project of this scale is3-and finally yes i do have experience working with fiberglass, im not doing it to save any weight, when was the lasttime you seen a wide body neon? plus i have the know how and am in the process of doinf other mods to the car, i just want a totally custom one of a kind car, but you didnt answer my Q so what do you know in regards of cf?

There are some wide body kits out there. http://www.wingswest.com/project_detail.asp?id=14 I was just curious, I did not know if you were a novice or knew what you were doing. Some people come on here with no knowledge about cars what so ever and wanna make a 500HP, totally custom neon in their garage and think they can do it. I don't have any real knowledge on CF, from the little I know I thought it was pretty much the same as working with glass.

i just kinda wanna build my own thanks for the like though ive been doin reading on this site for over a year and many others, i want to build a high power neon and the bodykit is the first step for me, to accomidate wider tires for the front, do you know of any pics of a twin turbo neon? i havent found any but that would be the final step for my car after the body is done ill be starting on my 2.4 build, i thought that cf was like workn w glass i was just curios, doin this to my car sucks though its a long process for me since i work outta state for a month at a time but im tryn to do as much as i can on my time off

Cool, sounds like you got a nice project in front of you. I would not recomend the twin turbo though. The motor does not flow enough CFMs to make it fesible. You would have to use such small turbos to get them to spool to any type of pressure that they would overheat very easily. The 2.4 is a good start though, in my opinion its probally the best base for building a 1st gen.

i dont know much aobut turbo`s as of right now, very minimal but i was lookn at a pair of hahun 16g`s w ft intercooler port fuler and all those fun things way down the road, what do you mean the motor dosent flow enough cfm`s your talkin its to small to handle that kinda volume? i change my mind fregquently on what to do to the car so the tt is just a concept as of right now for me nothing is set in stone except the locker front end wide body shaved tails headlights and handles are already done

You need air flow to spin the turbo. That is why the turbo on a 4 cyl 2.4L SRT-4 is smaller than the turbo on a cummings turbo diesel 6.0L. If you don't have enough airflow the turbo will not spool up fast enough and you will build like 3lbs of boost.

correct me if im wrong but the turbos come with there own intake so they can pull in as much o2 as they need? and i believe that the 2.4 has a smaller turbo than the 6.0 because the 2.4 needs less volume then the diesel, ive seen the tt on an eclipse and thats the same motor as ours cept its 180 deg off so the turbos are facing foward not twards the firewalland that had no probs and my buddy stuck a stage 2 16 g on his eclipse and has much more than 3 psi boost
