That's a good idea to redo the bottom end before adding a turbo system. Choosing which pistons is your preference but, u know the larger the piston the more gas you'll spend. Do you have a place that can port and polish and know how much they'll charge?

call Howell Automotive and get yourself:

A performance bottom end kit
and
A set of valves

You can get howell to custom make you a rebuild kit, so you don't need to get everything that's included in any of their kits. They're some pretty cool guys.

What all have you done in preparation for turbo'ing your Neon?

1100 isn't that bad but the porting and polishing isn't going to be too great either.[&:] Do you do the mechanical work yourself? If not that's even more money. Good luck.

Between Southeast Performance and Howell Automotive you're looking at around $400-$1600. It all depends what stage you want to do. Southeast Performance is cheaper but good luck on reaching them. I've tried plenty of times and had no lock reaching them by phone. They use to be a sponsor on this website and as you know, Howell is currently a sponsor.

U already know what Howell's website is. If you ever start doing that engine work, let us know where you got your porting work done and how everything turns out.
