Default Dodge to Plymouth

I dont wanna sound to noobish about all this but I was searching for Intakes on ptuning.com and they only had intakes for the 2000-2003 Plymouth models and under dodge they had 95 models which is the year I have but mine is a plymouth.... Will it still work if I was to buy the dodge style intake.

the only difference between yours and the dodge is the badge, your good to go if you buy dodge stuff.

That's right. All you need to do is make sure you get one for your exact engine and transmission combo.

The easiest way is to pop the hood and look at it, the SOHC has a black plastic intake manifold and the DOHC has a bare aluminum intake manifold.

This is a SOHC:

This is a DOHC:

booboo - the SOHC shown in the pic is a '95, which has a different valve cover, different PCV setup, different oil cap location, and different coilpack mount than all the 1996-2005 SOHC's. The DOHC valve cover will not physically fit on a SOHC head. If you don't have a snorkel poking up, it was probably removed intentionally or simply fell off. The hole for it should still be there in the stock air box. The intake piping shouldn't have any sensor on it, not stock anyways. The air temp sensor is located on the intake manifold, a combined unit with the MAP sensor (which HAS to be on the intake mani...) for the '96 models (seperate sensors on 95's). The only hose coming off the intake piping should be part of the PCV system. The vacuum lines will be coming off the intake manifold as well.

My '95 SOHC came with an aluminum intake manifold from the factory. Painted flat black though. Still have it, in the back seat...

NeonSpeed - your car will not run without the intake manifold on. Not sure exactly what you are asking...
