Default 95 cam in a 98 will it work?

a while ago i bought 2 neons (just for the hell of it plus i wanted a manual instead of the auto i have in it now} one os them is a 95 . is it proven that the 95 cam will work and will give my car a little more power? imm gonna get my head a p&p job so i thought i wold give it a cam[&:]

That cam with a CAI will make you a mid 15 car. Hellz yea it will work.

im used to running the 1/8th . never been to a 1/4, is 15's good? i saw some people talking about beingin the 14's

Would going to the yard and picking up ( I have a Dohc) 2 95 cams be better then just buying a performance one? I didn't know that 95's had good cams in them

That will work, the 95 was the only Neon to come stock with a Mopar Performance cam, a 95 will always be faster than the Neons without it aside from the R/T, and even then the SOHC wiht the Performance cam has a little bit of a jump on them. Also without that cam any performance bolt ons will do nothing if any gains.

Thanks Highline, thats good info im gona look into that tomorrow, might pick up 2 of them, If I do, is cam installation hard to do, I know about the timing belt and having to set them correctly but it is it a hard job? Ive never done cam work before
