btw does anyone ahve a picture with a diy or a real CAI actually in the car?
well here is the ebay on ($50-ish)
the diy 3.0 CAI

they look simmilar to me..........

with the 2nd post you put you might be able to relocate it to where the CAI would be


the diy intake is moved to underneith the battery
and that 2nd intake you posted from eBay might actually work if tahts the actual one
just slap a K&N filter on it

I have a heat sheild down there and also the filter sits way above the damn exhaust the the pic does show it well but its not even sitting anywhere close to the exhuast and as far as I can find out a ton of cold air comes thru the back of the hood and up around the back of the motor you can keep you red plastic iceman pos i'll go with what I got. I guess I should add also I made the heat shield with a break press i'm not talking about some stock crap.
Sounds like someone is mad that they bought the e-bay special and later realized it did nothing more than the stock intake performance wise. Also the iceman is plastic so that it does not conduct the hot heatfrom the engine. Your intake being metal not only sucks in the hot air from the engine/exhaust, but the piping also conducts the hot heat which then heats up the air in the pipe itself. Even the stock intake is plastic.
