I have a 95 neon. It had been running fine then I went out to start it in the morning and it took a few tries to get it started. Then about a mile down the road it died. It sat for a while then it started only when I stepped on the gas. Took off and it died again. I got it home and let it run for a while and it ran normal. So I drove it a little and it died in the same place again finally got it started and took it home.....now it just will not start............HELP ME PLZZ![sm=feedback.gif]

 

Any codes?? How to check codes Any aditional information or stuff you have already checked would help alot too.

 

The only code i have been getting is 55. Checked the coil pack thats not it...new plugs and wires....all grounds are good. But the fuel pump dosen't make any noise when I turn on the key does that mean anything?

 

That means it's not priming correctly or at all. Check your fuel pump fuse and relay.

 

The fuse is good. But how do you check the relay?

 

Swap it out with the horn relay, honk your horn...if it works then your fuel pump relay is good.

 

Don't mean to sound stupid but......how do you get the relays out???

lol ok no I feel stupid. Any way I switched them and the horn works.

 

Have you checked your fuel pressure?
