Default New neon, new problems

Well my buddy has a 96 neon, SOHC and it dies once it warms up. I am going to go over and try to diagnose the problem, but I wanted some ideas from you guys first. I tried searching on this, but couldn't find anything. what do you guys think the problem could be? thanks!

Check to see if it's overheating. Could be bad thermostat, radiator or just about anything. Will need more info to help better.

he says it doesn't show it overheating, and no CEL light comes on. All I know is that when he's driving the car, and once it warms up, it dies.... What more info should I try to find???

I've had this problem on my 97 neon. I was told that it was the fuel pump. Try to keep the car above half a tank until you can replace it.

check the fuel filler neck for holes cause they had a problem with rusting out, and before doing the fuel pump check the gas tank for debris. also when it shuts off, try pushing the schroeder valve on the fuel rail with a phillips then restarting the car

I'll check that out! I was also pondering the thought of the PCM too, you think that might cause it to shut down once that warms up? I'm going to check the car out today and see from there. thanks!

checked the car, it's in pretty good shape. But what he told me is totally different than what really happened.

it would start and idle, but when you tried to put your foot on the gas, it would die. now bear in mind that there's no o2 sensor behind the cat (missing), no crank pulley, other sensor's not plugged in, etc.... So I figure there's gotta be a sensor somewhere that's not plugged in and that's what's giving him trouble. other than that, it looks like a decent neon!
