cracked plastic intake
been there done that, problem is too much air gets into the intake causing the engine to idle till the cpu cuts the fuel off at about real freak'n high(my free car did't come with a tach). got some crap epoxy on now, idles about 15-2000rpms but beats a 20min bike ride to work, uphill both ways(why would it be any other way?). i have buds who can FIX chopper airframes, thing is they don't know the stuff the intake is made of. some epoxies/resins will EAT plastics. i really don't want an intake made of super glue and sawdust if at all possible. any one have any ideas or know some one who might? you may just get a free postcard from germany!!! thanks for the help guys!!!!!!!
thanks for the heads up!! i'm going on vacation for about 3wks starting 26 may. hope the junker is ready to strip when i get back. i'll try some low grade epoxy again 2nd. after that i'll see what's what. if you still want a postcard send me an adress at "thomas.e.dawson@us.army.mil" it's a secure site and i won't give it to anyone, you have my word.
