Default cracked plastic intake

i cracked my intake when changing the clutch (feel free to make fun). 96 2.0 sohc. have another 1st gen i can get parts from. all i know about the parts car is it has an auto trans. are the intakes the same for auto/stick and sohc/dohc? any repair advice? the part that broke off is below the throttle body, the lower bolt hole that hols the metal pipe coming from the "AIS?" valve. new to neons and the DF, any help wold be great. i work on chopper engines (the kind that fly) for uncle sam, so i have access to some pretty good epoxies/resins. anyone know how well the intake holds up to repairs? Suck. Squeeze. Bang. Blow. Before anyone asks, is how turbine engines work.

SOHC and DOHC intakes are different. SOHC's are plastic and DOHC's are aluminum. Get a plastic intake from a junker and swap it in.

thanks for the heads up. I'll give the junker a good look before a swap. just in case, any ideas about repairing the intake?

I wouldn't repair it, but that's just me!

i'm stationed in germany at the moment, might not have a choice. still waiting for the junker's time to expire at the impound lot before i can strip it. that's why all i know about it is the auto trans.

Some SOHC's had an aluminum (one-piece) intake. I've still got mine in the back seat...

Best of luck!
