Default adding a temp gauge

well I'm looking at adding an aftermarket temp gauge. Is there a place anyone would recommend installing one? Maybe an unused port on the radiator or something that I can tap into? thanks for any input guys!

There is a place on the back of the block to put one or you can put in the heater hose.

Personally, I'd go with an adapter right at the coolant neck, spliced into the rubber hose. You can pick these up at a hardware store like Home Depot. I forget what size you need to fit in the hose... You have to run a ground wire to the block or frame in order to get a signal, but you are getting the temp of the water as it comes out of the block. The spot I used in the back of the block didn't track very well with the sensor readings using a scanner.

Best of luck!

o wow that is the biggest pain in the A...i went out and got a copper pip drilled and taped a pipe thread for the sensor and tapped into my fuse box for power than bought side pillars for the guage

hook up to the rad dain plug. my 96 has one. easy to get to, might be some long wires and the temp might be a few points off, sure would be hella easy though.
