Default Battery Relocation for CAI

Has anybody ever relocated their battery to the trunk so they could place a Cold Air Intake in the place of the battery. Or is this a dumb idea? I think that it might work if the battery could be relocated. The cold air intake wouldn't be much of a problem I don't think. It was just an idea. Tell me what you guys think.

Dude, we drive Neons, we're all about ghetto. I think you should do it and then if it looks good, I'll do it too. If it looks like garbage I'll tell you that you shouldn't have done that. Sound good?

Just get proper wire splices like from a stereo shop and then it should look good as you add your lengths.

Relocating the battery isn't a bad Idea at all, Modernperformance sells a intake that is designed with that concept in mind, its called the kirk CAI but you can buy the supplies yourself and save a lot of money that way. they also sell kits to do it but your it's probably cheaper to go wireing route and its just more fun that way. where you relocate it( Im guessing the trunk) don't forget to make sure that bad boy is secure and not floping around good luck

ok, now instead of relocating the battery, I think I'm just gonna go with neonricks idea. Use a smaller battery, cut the battery tray back and make my own intake out of muffler tubing. I just need to know what battery is small enough to use but not gonna hurt my car or its capability to start.

Max Current you are drawing from a stock neon is 40 amps.(That is the largest fuse in the car) You could probobly run 2-4 ga. wire and be fine. Run your wire under your carpeting, through the firewall and BAM! No ghetto (not really). Just a thought. Peace and quail grease.
