Dude, modern science couldn't fight that cancer. If your car was a horse I would name it 'Glue' Are you a religious person? I only ask because I think that body work might be a job for Jesus.

Get a new hood and trunk to fix those problems...as far as the rust by the gas door, try sanding it down to the metal, and then primering and painting it. You could cut the rust out and put a piece of sheet metal behind it, weld it into place, fill, prime, and paint.

How hard would it be to cut it out (with the gas filler and such) right there and then make a panel? oh and also what type of primer should I use?

The baby's right. You might be able to find a hood and trunk lid at a pick and pull. Probably not from the same a car though. How do you feel about bondo? Might be an option for the gas door if you don't mind it being there. You would have to take out a lot of rust though. Listen to the baby, he's pretty smart.

It's not an easy task, but it's doable with the right tools and equip. Any automotive primer should work fine.

Mainly, a welder...you also would need some type of scraper/spreader to fill in the holes and sandpaper.
