actually i was just about to make another thing but sence this ones already open , i replaced teh head on my neon because i bent the valves on the last one *timeing belt broke* and now when i start it it revs at bout 1300 i was also told it must be a vaccume leak , how should i go about finding it ? the same way that you just mentiond and also i scanned it and the only code i got was that target idol not reached

 

and where exactly should i look for leaks and how should i go about fixing them * i have 2 go up teh country today in teh car and its an hours drive it whould be nice to have it fixed

 

Have either one of you taken out the IAC motor and cleaned it up? It could have carbon buildup.

You gotta take the TB off to get to it and then clean it.

 

how do you expect to find a VACCUM leak with soapy water?

is the intake still wraped in tape or am i thinking of another? i had code 25 and a high idle 'till i fixed my cracked intake with epoxy.
